Product Description

  • Product Type: Swiss-origin wines (own label and traded wines)
  • Expected Initial Volume: 1–2 pallets per month initially (each pallets contains 450-500 bottles)
  • Expected Scale-Up: 4–5 pallets/month (12mo target)
  • Characteristics:
    • Sensitive to temperature fluctuation
    • Must remain under 20°C throughout transit and storage
    • Ideal storage range: 12–18°C

Core Requirements

4.1 Bonded Warehouse Licensing & Compliance

  • Requirement: Storage facility must be bonded as per Indian customs regulations and Excise approved.
  • Private vs Public Bond: Preference for private bonded setup; public-bond not compatible for wine re-export.
  • Documentation:
    • Space NOC to be issued by Partner  to Customs
    • Storage allocation letter for customs alignment
    • Manage Swintra Ventures Pvt. Ltd. importer on record & license
  • Customs Handling Support: Partner to advise and possibly assist in Customes and Excise.

4.2 Temperature-Controlled Storage

  • Temperature Range: 12–18°C; must not exceed 20°C at any time.
  • Environment:
    • Fully enclosed, humidity-stable environment
    • Protected from sunlight at all times (including tarmac-to-warehouse transit)

4.3 Cold Chain Logistics

  • Landing Location: Mumbai International Airport after 6K Bottles volume activate ship transport
  • Required Transit: Immediate dispatch to CHS warehouse 
  • Temperature Exposure Window: Maximum 6 hours post-landing before storage
  • Challenge: Customs clearance might extend delivery beyond 4 hours. Partner to advise mitigations (e.g., airport cooling solutions, expedited clearance options)
